Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has invested ₹11 crore in its wholly owned subsidiary, Shakti Energy Solutions Limited, to support the establishment of a greenfield solar manufacturing facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh.
The investment, made through a cash subscription to equity shares of the subsidiary, will support the development of a high-efficiency Solar DCR cell and solar PV module manufacturing plant with a planned production capacity of 2.20 GW.
Shakti Energy Solutions, incorporated in 2010, currently operates in the manufacturing of solar structures and rooftop solutions. Its turnover increased from ₹139.59 crore in FY2023-24 to ₹216.53 crore in FY2024-25 and further to ₹239.11 crore in FY2025-26.
The new facility is part of Shakti Pumps’ broader capacity-expansion programme. According to the company’s FY2025-26 investor presentation, the planned investment for the 2.2 GW Solar DCR cell and PV module plant is ₹1,200 crore, with commissioning of 0.5 GW of DCR module capacity expected by the end of Q1 FY2026-27.
The company has said the solar manufacturing project will enable greater backward integration through in-house DCR cell manufacturing and provide greater control across the solar value chain.
The ₹11 crore investment was completed on September 14, 2026. As the investment was made in a wholly owned subsidiary, it does not qualify as a related-party transaction, according to the disclosed details.
