1. GoodWe recently completed 10 years of operations in India and crossed 6 GW of cumulative inverter shipments. Looking back at this journey, what have been the key milestones for GoodWe in the Indian renewable energy market?
Completing 10 years in India and crossing 6 GW of cumulative shipments is a significant milestone and reflects the trust we have built with customers and partners.
Over the decade, GoodWe has evolved from a primarily residential inverter player to having a strong presence across residential, C&I and utility-scale segments. We have built a strong local service network, expanded our partner ecosystem and developed products suited to India’s diverse operating conditions.
The next phase is about expanding from an inverter-focused company towards a broader smart energy solutions provider, with greater focus on storage and integrated energy solutions.
2. India’s solar market is now moving beyond traditional PV systems towards storage, smart energy management and integrated energy solutions. How is GoodWe preparing its portfolio to meet this changing market demand?
India is moving towards an energy ecosystem where solar, storage and consumption work together.
GoodWe is expanding its portfolio across residential and C&I energy storage, backup solutions and integrated energy systems. At the same time, we are strengthening our capabilities in digitalisation and energy management.
Our focus is to offer solutions that are reliable, practical and commercially viable for Indian customers, while adapting to India’s specific operating conditions.
3. GoodWe has been expanding its presence across residential, C&I and utility-scale segments. Which of these segments do you see as the biggest growth opportunity in India over the next 3–5 years, and why?
We see strong opportunities across all segments, but C&I and energy storage are likely to be particularly important over the next three to five years.
C&I customers are increasingly looking beyond solar generation towards reducing energy costs, managing peak demand and improving power reliability. This creates strong potential for integrated solar-plus-storage solutions.
Residential and utility-scale markets will also continue to grow, so our strategy remains to maintain a balanced presence across all three segments.
4. India is a large and diverse market. Which states or regions are currently a priority for GoodWe, and where do you see the strongest opportunities for your products and solutions in the coming years?
We see strong opportunities across established solar markets such as Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana, while also looking at emerging markets.
Our focus is not only geographical expansion but identifying regions where solar adoption, industrial activity, distributed generation and storage demand are growing together.
We will continue strengthening our local partnerships and service capabilities across these markets.
5. GoodWe has recently been focusing strongly on energy storage, AI-driven energy management and integrated solutions connecting generation, storage and consumption. What new technologies, products or solutions can the Indian market expect from GoodWe in the near future?
Our focus will be on greater integration of solar generation, storage and energy consumption.
We will continue expanding our residential and C&I storage portfolio, including solutions for backup, energy optimisation and different applications across the Indian market.
We are also exploring digitalisation and intelligent energy management, but our priority will be to develop solutions based on real customer requirements and practical applications in India.
6. With increasing competition in the Indian inverter and energy storage market, what are the key areas where GoodWe wants to differentiate itself—technology, product reliability, service support, energy management, or its overall customer experience?
We believe differentiation has to come from the complete customer experience, rather than one factor alone.
Our focus is on technology, reliability, local service support and understanding customer requirements.
With a decade of experience in India, we have developed a strong understanding of local operating conditions. Going forward, we will continue combining reliable products with strong technical support and solutions that deliver long-term customer value.
7. Looking ahead, what is GoodWe India’s long-term vision for the Indian market, and how do you see the company contributing to India’s transition towards smarter, more reliable and sustainable energy systems?
Our vision is to evolve from an inverter-focused company into a broader smart energy solutions provider, while maintaining our focus on quality, reliability and customer support.
India’s next phase of renewable growth will be about not only generating more solar power, but also making energy more reliable, flexible and better integrated.
GoodWe aims to contribute through continued investment in power electronics, energy storage and integrated solutions, while building long-term partnerships with customers across residential, C&I and utility-scale markets.
