Yulu Enters Nashik, Brings Clean EV-Powered Deliveries to the City

Yulu, India’s leading electric mobility-as-a-service (e-MaaS) platform, has launched its service in Nashik under its Yulu Business Partner (YBP) vertical. The launch brings Yulu’s integrated shared EV ecosystem — the country’s largest — to the city, in partnership with Approach Auto Mobility, a venture led by entrepreneur Jai Dhanani.

Nashik is Yulu’s second market in Maharashtra after Mumbai, where its hyperlocal EV ecosystem has powered millions of accessible, affordable, and green rides over the past seven years. It also flags off the company’s ninth franchise-led operation in two years, following successful YBP launches in Indore and Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Kochi (Kerala), Tirunelveli, Madurai and Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Kolkata (West Bengal), and Chandigarh Tricity.

Steeped in history and spirituality, Nashik is also a modern city with a rapidly expanding digital economy. It has more than 25 operational dark stores and 1,500 high-volume restaurants, and city-wide deliveries have doubled over the past year to about 25,000 deliveries a day. This demand is expected to accelerate as more consumers embrace the convenience of the on-demand economy. Yet, most doorstep orders are powered by petrol vehicles, leaving delivery partners burdened with high vehicle EMIs and recurring fuel and maintenance costs. This is the market gap that Yulu is addressing with its technology-powered and high-uptime mobility platform.

Yulu’spurpose-built electric two-wheelers, high-uptime fleet operations, battery swapping through Yuma Energy and transparent pricing plans that are inclusive of energy, maintenance and insurance make EV adoption practical for everyday commercial users in Nashik. Delivery partners can access Yulu’s EVs affordably, make interruption-free deliveries, swap batteries within minutes, and keep a larger portion of their earnings —30-40% more compared with petrol bike users. Thus, the service offers a cost-efficient and sustainable way to meet the city’s growing delivery needs.

Operations will begin with a fleet of 100 DeX EVsbased out of a Yulu Centre in Rajiv Nagar. The service will cover Nashik city and expand into surrounding areas as demand grows.

Commenting on the launch, Amit Gupta, Co-founder & CEO, Yulu, said, “India’s next phase of e-mobility adoption will be shaped by non-metro cities where changing consumer expectations and the expansion of quick commerce are reshaping urban logistics. The depth of demand for sustainable, reliable, and accessible solutions from both consumers and delivery partners in Nashik makes it the perfect time for a hyperlocal goods mobility platform like Yulu to launch its service in the city. Through our partnership with Approach Auto Mobility, Yulu aims to create an EV-powered delivery model that adapts to Nashik’s evolving needs.”

Jai Dhanani, Founder, Approach Auto Mobility, said, “As an existing battery swapping franchise partner of Yuma Energy, we were already familiar with the Yulu Group’s purpose-built system and technology-driven approach to mobility. The latest partnership gets us closer to our aim of making EV-powered deliveries the default in Nashik — a goal we will achieve by offering delivery partners a lower cost per kilometre and near-zero downtime network, even as we simultaneously help brands unlock a dependable and low-emission fleet that grows with them as a partner.”

With the launch in Nashik, Yulu extends its overall presence to 13 cities, including the four metro markets it operates directly: Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Hyderabad. The success of its YBP franchisee partner model is not just a testament to the rising aspirations of consumers in tier-2 and 3 cities, but also the rapid pace at which quick commerce and on-demand platforms are making inroads into the smaller cities, with Yulu’s help.
