Roofsol Energy Signs PPA with Lloyds Metals for 19.9 MWp Solar and 14.7 MWh BESS Projects

Roofsol Energy has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited to develop 19.9 MWp of solar power projects integrated with a 14.7 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) across three locations in Maharashtra.

The projects will be developed at Ghugus, Hedri and Konsari, strengthening the integration of solar power and energy storage for industrial energy requirements. According to Roofsol Energy, the projects demonstrate its engineering expertise and execution capabilities across diverse solar applications, including rooftop and floating solar installations.

The agreement builds on Roofsol Energy’s expanding portfolio of commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy projects. In August 2026, the company signed a PPA for a 5 MWp solar project integrated with 4 MWh of BESS for pharmaceutical packaging manufacturer Associated Capsules Group in Maharashtra, marking its entry into the C&I energy storage market.

Roofsol Energy has also secured several solar PPAs with industrial customers. These include a 2 MWp solar project for Exedy India in Karnataka, a 3 MWp project for RAK Ceramics in Andhra Pradesh, and rooftop solar agreements with Shyam Steel Industries and Foxconn.

For FY2027, the company aims to invest in 200 MWp of rooftop solar assets through PPAs, with more than 50 MWp already signed and under execution, according to the company.
