Roofsol Energy Secures Repeat 4.48 MWp Solar Order from Metro Decorative

Solar EPC company Roofsol Energy has secured a repeat order from Metro Decorative Pvt. Ltd., the company behind the CROSSBOND brand, for the development of solar projects with a combined capacity of 4.48 MWp.

The projects will be installed at facilities in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, and Kala Amb, Himachal Pradesh, as Metro Decorative expands its adoption of renewable energy across its operations. The latest order follows the successful completion of a 3.2 MWp solar project for the company, with the EPC contract for the earlier project signed in February 2026.

The repeat order highlights the growing partnership between the two companies and reflects customer confidence in Roofsol Energy’s solar EPC capabilities. The projects are expected to help Metro Decorative increase its use of clean electricity while reducing dependence on conventional power sources.

The latest development comes as Roofsol Energy continues to expand its presence in India’s commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy market. In August 2026, the company signed a PPA for a 5 MWp solar-plus-4 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project for Associated Capsules Group in Maharashtra, marking its entry into the C&I energy storage segment.

Earlier, in July 2026, Roofsol signed a 10.44 MWp rooftop solar PPA with Shyam Steel Industries for its facility in Durgapur, West Bengal, along with a 17 MWp rooftop solar PPA with Foxconn for an OPEX-based project at its Bengaluru facility.

For FY2027, Roofsol Energy has set a target of investing in 200 MWp of rooftop solar assets through PPAs. The company has stated that more than 50 MWp of this target has already been signed and is under execution.

In June 2026, Roofsol Energy also secured ₹260 crore in funding from Aseem Infrastructure Finance to develop solar independent power producer (IPP) projects, including installations for JK Tyre and Industries and an additional 100 MWp of C&I solar capacity across India.

The repeat order from Metro Decorative further strengthens Roofsol Energy’s portfolio in the C&I segment and underlines the increasing adoption of rooftop and distributed solar solutions by industrial customers seeking to reduce conventional energy consumption and advance their sustainability goals.
