RAYZON Solar Limited (RSL), one of India’s leading solar module manufacturers and the country’s No. 2 solar module supplier by market share in the last financial year, is set to commence operations at its 5.1 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing facility in December 2026, with initial deliveries expected from first quarter of 2027. The milestone marks a significant step in the company’s strategy to strengthen backward integration, expand domestic manufacturing capabilities and support the development of a more self-reliant solar supply chain in India.

Founded in 2017 by entrepreneurs Chirag Nakrani and Hardik Kothiya, RAYZON Solar has built its growth trajectory on technology-led innovation, manufacturing excellence and a commitment to the Government of India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India’ initiatives. With an installed solar module manufacturing capacity of 11.3 GW, the company continues to invest in advanced technologies and integrated manufacturing infrastructure to strengthen its position in India’s rapidly evolving solar industry.

The upcoming 5.1 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing facility represents a key milestone in RAYZON Solar’s expansion beyond module manufacturing. Despite a shift from IPO proceeds to debt financing amid market volatility, the company remains focused on executing its manufacturing roadmap and building capabilities across the solar value chain.

Looking ahead, RAYZON Solar plans to take its backward integration strategy further with a proposed 5.1 GW ingot casting and wafer slicing facility, targeted for development by 2028. The company is engaging with multiple states to evaluate incentives and finalise a suitable location for the proposed project. The planned investment is intended to strengthen domestic upstream manufacturing capabilities and contribute to reducing India’s dependence on imported solar manufacturing inputs.

Commenting on the company’s growth and future roadmap, Chirag Nakrani, Co-Founder, RAYZON Solar Limited, said, “The commissioning of our 5.1 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing facility in December 2026 will mark an important milestone in RAYZON Solar’s journey towards deeper backward integration. We believe that building strong domestic manufacturing capabilities is essential to enhancing competitiveness, strengthening supply chain resilience and supporting India’s clean energy ambitions. As we advance our cell manufacturing plans, our next phase of expansion will focus on a proposed 5.1 GW ingot casting and wafer slicing facility, targeted for 2028. We are engaging with multiple states to assess incentives and finalise the location for this proposed investment. Alongside manufacturing expansion, our continued work on tandem-junction technology and nano-coatings reflects our commitment to developing the next generation of high-efficiency solar solutions.”

Hardik Kothiya, Co-Founder, RAYZON Solar Limited, added, “Our strategy is centred on building a technologically advanced and increasingly integrated solar manufacturing ecosystem in India. By expanding from modules into TOPCon cell manufacturing, and subsequently exploring upstream integration through ingot and wafer manufacturing, we aim to strengthen domestic capabilities, reduce import dependence and enhance our competitiveness in global markets. Combined with investments in research and development, these initiatives reflect our long-term commitment to India’s renewable energy ambitions and the future of solar manufacturing.”

Complementing its manufacturing expansion, RAYZON Solar has completed a 19,800 MTPA aluminium extrusion and anodising unit for solar module frames, further expanding its domestic manufacturing footprint. Its research and development programme has also resulted in three patent filings over the past year, while work continues on tandem-junction technology and nano-coatings for next-generation solar modules, with targeted launches by 2028.
