Juniper Green Energy bags 230 MW project from SECI

Juniper Green Energy Limited has emerged as the winning bidder for 230 MW under the e-Reverse auction conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for its 1000 MW FDRE Round-the-Clock (RTC) Renewable Energy tender. The Company secured the capacity at a tariff of ₹5.26 per unit.

The Letter of Award (LOA) is expected to be issued within the timelines prescribed under the tender document.

The project further strengthens Juniper Green Energy’s growing portfolio of FDRE and Round-theClock projects, reinforcing the Company’s ability to deliver reliable renewable power through integrated solar, wind, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions. The project will be backed by a 25- year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SECI, with the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) set at 24 months from the PPA Effective Date.

Under the tender conditions, the project will be required to achieve the prescribed Delivered Firm Round-the-Clock (DFR) commitments, including a minimum of 90% DFR during designated peak hours, 50–60% during solar hours, and 70% during non-solar, non-peak hours. It will leverage Juniper Green Energy’s integrated development capabilities across solar, wind, and battery storage technologies to ensure consistent and reliable power delivery

Commenting on the development, Ankush Malik, Whole Time Director & Chief Executive Officer, Juniper Green Energy Limited, said, “This successful bid marks another important milestone in our journey of building large-scale, reliable renewable energy solutions for India’s evolving power needs. Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy is becoming increasingly critical to enabling round-the-clock clean power, and this project further strengthens our position in this emerging segment. We remain committed to delivering high-quality renewable energy assets that support India’s energy transition while creating long-term value for all stakeholders.”
